About Us

WORCESTERSHIRE WOODTURNERS

In 1981 a founding member of the AWGB Reg Sherwin with a number of local friends formed our club to promote the art of woodturning amongst local turners and the general public by arranging meetings discussions and demonstrations.

We now meet on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month (excluding bank holidays) at Droitwich Spa High School WR9 0AA   From 7.00 to 9.30 pm.

The Club runs an active meetings programme throughout the year with both Professional turners & club demonstrators.( see this years programme page)

We have 4 club lathes used for “HANDS ON” evenings where new members/beginners can be mentored on the lathes in how to turn safely.

We are a very friendly club with a great social atmosphere, joining us would be a great way to decide if you like the craft and to get good free advice by talking to our experienced turners before making your first equipment purchases.

Come visit us and see for yourself. First 3 meetings cost £4 each before you need to join.
